With more than 2,000 documented natural stone arches, Arches National Park has the densest concentration of them anywhere in the world. The best known is Delicate Arch, which even appears on Utah license plates. It's the arch in this laser cut ornament template, a span of warm reds rising from pale slickrock with the desert and a line of distant hills beyond.
This intarsia inspired mosaic design takes its reds, tans and creams from seven woods, and the 20 pieces in the laser cut file fit together into a finished wood ornament. Send one to a friend who has made the hike to Delicate Arch, or cut a stack for your customers. In December yours can hang on a travel tree, and the rest of the year it can sit out on a shelf.

- Kerf and no kerf files provided. The kerf files have a .002 inch offset already added, a one size fits most option if you don't know your laser's kerf. The no kerf files are for makers who want to apply their own laser's kerf.
- Printable Color Planner to map out wood species and painted pieces before you cut.
- Written instructions with a file overview and assembly review.
- A scrap buster project, so leftover wood has somewhere to go.
Material and thickness
- Designed for 1/8 inch (3mm) or 1/4 inch (6mm) material. Cut every piece from the same thickness.
- Designed for wood. 7 different wood grains create the contrast and texture. No paint needed. No wood? No problem. Paint the pieces or use acrylic instead.
Sorted by wood species, rotated for grain
The files are sorted by wood species and the pieces are rotated to follow the grain, so your finished project has a clean, intentional look without you having to rearrange anything in your design software. We do this on every design that uses multiple wood species.
