What You Get Each Month

Go big. Start small. Or create the entire collection.

Each original design comes as a Showstopper, Mini, and Ornament. Choose the one that speaks to you, or experience the artwork in all three sizes.

  • The ShowstopperThe largest and most intricate of the designs. Big enough to become the centerpiece of a room or draw people into your booth. The only problem may be convincing yourself to let it go.
  • The MiniThe same design, built with fewer pieces and a fraction of the size. Combined cuts and scored detail keep the essence of the artwork intact, but it assembles much faster. A more accessible way to take the art home.
  • The OrnamentDo not let the name fool you. This is a small piece of art, and most people display (and sell) it year round. Often the first piece someone owns, and rarely the last.

Three levels of difficulty, . A piece for every buyer, from casual to serious collector.

In their words

The laser is the tool. You are the artist.

Lead artist and founder
Robin in her studio with her laser cut artwork

Hi, I'm Robin.

I came to laser design with a background as a working artist, so I never saw wood as simply something to cut. I saw color, movement, texture, and the possibility of creating something people would consider real artwork.

Since 2020, I've been designing as Welcome Home Custom, and I've developed a style that has become recognizable throughout the laser community. I mix woods as though I'm mixing paint, use grain direction to create movement and dimension, and build intricate, intarsia inspired designs where every piece has a purpose. The result isn't just a flat cutout. It's artwork people stop to look at.

Over the years, makers around the world have purchased tens of thousands of my files. But I also watched talented laser artists struggle to stand apart while selling many of the same designs as everyone else, often for prices that didn't come close to reflecting their time or skill.

I created the Laser Art Society to offer a different path: original designs made to become the piece that draws people in, along with the support to help you present and sell your work as art.

Today, my small team and I work from our warehouse in Ohio, where every design is built, cut, assembled, and tested before it reaches our members. If I put my name on a file, I want to know it works in a real workshop, not just on a computer screen.

Questions

Good to know before you join.

What exactly do I get each month?+

A trio of hand drawn designs built around a single showstopper: the large scale showstopper itself, a mini version of the same design, and an ornament or small piece of decor. All three share the same design, so you can sell the piece at three different price points. You also get a video walkthrough for every release, access to the private member community, 40% off every public file at welcomehomecustom.com, and 20% off plywood at Lasered by the Creek.

Can I sell what I make from the files?+

Yes. You're welcome to sell your finished pieces at shows, on your own website, and on marketplaces like Etsy.

Do I need to be an advanced laser user?+

No. These are finished, cut ready files. You bring your laser and your materials, and the video walkthroughs show you how to read the layout and assemble the piece. If you can run your machine and follow along, you can make these.

Do I need a large laser?+

No. Every design is formatted for an 18.5 by 10.85 inch cutting area, so a standard bed can cut all three sizes. The larger showstopper pieces also use a half inch backer that is cut outside the laser. A local wood shop can cut it for you, or you can cut it at home with a track saw or a small handheld circular saw.

Do I need any other tools?+

You can make these designs as basic or as complex as your tools allow. The larger showstoppers look their best with a frame, and you can buy one ready made or simply add edge banding. If you would rather build your own, a miter saw will do it, and a table saw makes it easier still. Members also learn to shape hardwoods with a rotary tool, which is completely optional.

What does the exclusivity actually mean?+

Each file set is exclusive to members for one full year. It grows from there: two years once 500 members are enrolled at the time of a release, and lifetime exclusive at 900. Members who join later can't buy older sets until, and unless, they're released to the public.

Is enrollment open?+

Yes, it's open right now. The Laser Art Society is capped at 1,000 members total, so when it fills, enrollment closes and the waitlist opens again for the next spot.

How much is it?+

$37 USD a month, and you can cancel anytime. For that you get the full monthly trio, the training and community, the 40% off files, and the plywood discount at Lasered by the Creek.
