Not every wall has room for a big square barn quilt, and this long, narrow laser cut wood quilt design is made for the ones that don't. Painted quilt squares on barns grew into a movement after the first barn quilt trail opened in Adams County, Ohio, in 2001, and quilt trails now run through farm country all over the US. So Many Triangles brings that look indoors in four woods, and it's named for all the triangles in its row of stars.
Hang it as is, or add a family name and it becomes a name sign. Fit it with a few hooks and it holds holiday cards. Name signs make easy custom orders at craft shows and markets, and the DIY mini quilt block, made to be painted, gives you a smaller piece to sell beside it. Every piece is numbered, and the cut by color pieces are laid out to follow the wood grain from left to right, so the grain moves with the design once it's glued down.

- Kerf and no kerf files provided. The kerf files have a .002 inch offset already added, a one size fits most option if you don't know your laser's kerf. The no kerf files are for makers who want to apply their own laser's kerf.

- Separated Master file for resizing the design.
- Printable Color Planners for the quilt and the DIY mini, to map out wood species and painted pieces before you cut.
- Written instructions with a file overview and assembly review.
Material and thickness
- Designed for wood. 4 different wood grains create the contrast and texture. No paint needed. No wood? No problem. Paint the pieces or use acrylic instead.
- Wood used: Walnut, Oak, Sapele, Cherry. Already selected for you. The sample in the photos was cut with ash for the oak and padauk for the sapele.
- The DIY mini cuts from one sheet of wood, 18.25 x 10.75 inches, and is made to be painted.
- Cut by color files fit a laser bed of 18.5 x 10.85 inches or larger.
Sorted by wood species, rotated for grain
The files are sorted by wood species and the pieces are rotated to follow the grain, so your finished project has a clean, intentional look without you having to rearrange anything in your design software. We do this on every design that uses multiple wood species.
Compatible with most laser cutters
Compatible with xTool, OMTech, Thunder, Aeon, Trotec, and other CO2 and diode lasers.
